Well, that was a pretty good day

Rained, so I didn't have to do any work around the place.  Splashed out on a box of Panhead Supercharger and a bottle of Rabbit Range pinot noir.  Also, Labour/Green took two seats off National and Golriz Gahrahman made it into Parliament.  Score!

OK....At the risk of looking like Chump (cue Adolfs' repartee) I have to ask, what is a panhead supercharge.

It's craft beer I think.

I'm gonna watch Golriz with interest because I think she's a fascinating individual.

Sorry, I forgot that those in foreign parts might have missed the opportunity to learn of the heady elixir of life that is the Panhead Supercharger. Or in more mundane terms, it's a local craft beer.

ah......I understand now, beer, wonderful beer. I shall restrain myself from waxing lyrical but if NZer's think France is about wine then then think again. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_in_France

The difference is they don't chuck it down their neck out of cans in order to get pissed.

It's a rather good APA craft beer.

Milt you traiter you.

You live only `spitting distance' from Mangatainoka, the home of Tui Beer (even if it is now bottled in Auckland) and drink poncy craft beer.

How could you - Tui is the beer round here.

Noel ... sad ain't it? For Milt ... our son brews under his own label (MLC) at the Wgtn Brewing Company. MLC - Mid Life Crisis ... 1PA 7.6%. Quite sought after. Will being a bottle to the table next time I'm in PN. Looking forward to the Shield game. As someone born in PN and schooled in the Naki I have a foot in both camps.

Conny Z: here we see graphically illustrated the perils of exposing too much personal information on social media.

pdm: I was glad when they moved Tui production to Auckland - now I can have a clear conscience about not drinking it, appalling shite that it is. I'm a south islander, so no patriotic duty involved.

Veteran: anyone who brings beer with them is always welcome (even if it's Tui). Be sure to message me if you find yourself down this way.

How does Rabbit Range compare with Rabbit Ranch pray tell? Is one a budget version of the other?

I seem to have a mental block about that - it's not the first time I've called it Rabbit Range.
