NO DOUBT SOMEONE WILL LABEL ME RACIST AND/OR HOMOPHOBIC

for posing this question but those with a more balanced view of life will understand my concern ...

Why would NZ Cricket deem it necessary to fly the flag of the 'United Tribes of New Zealand' along with the 'Rainbow' LGBT Pride flag alongside the NZ Ensign and the national flag of Pakistan at the third ODI being played at the University Oval in Dunedin.

Someone trying to make a point ... what point?

They should simply take down the Kiwi and Paki flags and let the Poofters and the Bros have at it in the centre.

I'll back the Bros to win.

I can't imagine Martin Sneddon putting up with such PC nonsense.

I suspect, like most things, it's about money. Cricket trying to appeal to a broad base in order to boost it's appeal and revenue. It might also be aimed at the Pakistani TV audience where homosexuality is unlawful. Does the troll write the Mangoe's speeches? Oh the benefits of a university education, I wish I was so eloquent.

It's a tradition that the flags/ensigns of the competing nations are flown.
Time to do a Hone on certain flag poles

George....There is no tradition, you can fly what you like within the law. Are you suggesting we cut down the pole with a British union flag? That is treason.

You sure it was the "United Tribes of New Zealand" flag?

2009 now whose Cabinet made that decision?

Noel ... eyesight 20/20. Still have my CPL. It was the 'United Tribes' that was flown and that flag has no official status unlike the National Maori Flag (which wasn't flown) and yes Gerald, it was the Key Government that gave into the demands of the Maori Party (or more specifically Hone H) and accorded that flag official recognition ... per courtesy of that wonderful electoral system so beloved by the losers.

This is like watching the three Stooges feeding each other lines until we can blame Labour/Hillary/ Greens/Obama/Hillary/elctoral system/Obama.......they can fly what they like and if you don't like it don't go....given the state of West Indian cricket that is probably the best option.

What flags are they flying in Hamilton today? Sea Shepherd Pirates?
